DEMON SLAYER / KIMETSU NO YAIBA

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba (Japanese: 鬼滅の刃 Hepburn: Kimetsu no Yaiba) is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Koyoharu Gotōge. The story follows Tanjirō Kamado, a young boy who becomes a demon slayer after his entire family was slaughtered by a demon, except for his little sister Nezuko, who was turned into a demon as well, vowing to find a way to make her human again. It has been serialized in Weekly Shōnen Jump since February 2016, with its chapters collected in 17 tankōbon volumes as of October 2019.

Tanjiro Kamado is a young boy who sells charcoal to make a living for his family. One fateful day, the entirety of his family, save his sister, are murdered by a Demon, thrusting him into a world of fear and despair. After an encounter with a Demon-killing swordsman, Tanjiro and his sister, who is now a Demon herself, must discover a way to end her curse and track down the monster who destroyed their family.
